Random alert!

Simon Cowell's sexuality became a hot topic in a U.K. courtroom last week after a recording was played during former U.K. X Factor judge Tulisa's trial on drug charges in which Gareth Varey, Tulisa's manager, is heard claiming that Cowell was gay.

According to reports, another male identified as reporter Mazher Mahmood asks Varey if Cowell is gay and Varey replies, "Yes." Asked how he supposedly knew that, Varey responds, "I know people who have."

Not that there'd be anything wrong with that—but it simply isn't true.

"Simon was referred to during the trial without forewarning, resulting in widespread media coverage of untrue claims regarding his private life," attorneys for Cowell, 54, said in a statement to E! News. "In the question of whether someone is or is not gay is antiquated. (As it happens he isn't, though if he were, he would simply contain said so)."

Hi, is Simon Cowell gay? Or in the closet?

Hi sweetie,

Simon Cowell does not label himself gay, he identifies as straight. Countless newspapers asked him that question and he replied with the same answer: he denied it.

Now off the record, I did overhear some rumors from people who have worked in the music industry. The rumors are that Simon's mother used to be very homophobic and Simon was gay. Which meant that his mother did not accept him and his sexuality. So the rumor continues with Simon's mother forcing him to be straight and letting him marry a lady so she would receive grandchildren.

If you glance back at Simon's teenage pictures you can spot that he does watch flamboyant, almost like Louis.

That is why Simon tries to break Louis' spirit; he sees in Louis someone he could not ever become. Louis is a tough dude, who is not accepting Simon's treatment. Plus, Louis is not scared nor ashamed of coming out and being gay.

I have heard this from various people, but I truly do not recognize the truth. I am quite certain, though, that Simon is taunting Louis for the exact equal reason. Louis is stubborn and fights for what he wan

It reads: "Simon was referred to during the trial without forewarning, resulting in widespread media coverage of untrue claims regarding his personal life.

"In the question of whether someone is or is not gay is antiquated. (As it happens he isn't, though if he were, he would simply have said so).

"However, the issue was the false suggestion made by Mr Varey that Simon - who is esteemed for his honesty and candidness -

What Simon Cowell Has Said About His Sexuality

Simon Cowell, Tom Cruise, and George Clooney have much more in common than just being household names. The three are straight stars who keep getting labeled as gay. They've all been subject to speculation and rumors about their sexuality despite all having been, or still organism, married or engaged to women. For the main part, the trio has also ignored all of the baseless gossip, preferring to either laugh it off or pay no attention to it. But Cowell has, on occasion, responded to the tittle-tattle.

The British music producer and TV host we all love to hate rose to fame as a caustic and sarcastic assess on "Pop Idol" and "American Idol." Throughout his adult life, he's dated a slew of eminent beauties, including a couple of glamor models, pop star Sinitta, and journalist Terri Seymour.
