As in previous years, this Friday at the start of Frankfurt's Christopher Street Time at the Konstablerwache, the spreading discs were replaced and exchanged for queer and lesbian couples of traffic lights. City councillor Sylvia Weber was pleased to be present at the installation again, but then said: "It will be the last installation". The reason for this, however, is a positive one, as the Department of Transport and the Department of Integration and Education have jointly succeeded in achieving a lasting installation of the traffic light pairs. "This little measure is an vital sign for equality, acceptance and against exclusion," said Weber, "as well as a sign of our equality policy and the commitment of the LGBTIQ community in Frankfurt."
