Lesbian and Gay City Festival Berlin
Equal Rights for the Unequal!
Under that slogan Berlin´s Regenbogenfonds e.V. will present its 30th annual Lesbian and Gay Festival Europes largest. As usual, it is existence held at the traditional gay stomping ground around Nollendorfplatz in Schöneberg.
The Diverse event, which many also know as Motzstraßenfest, is divided into six main themes, the Stadtfestwelten: Clip World, Radio World, Sports World, Politics World, Positivity World, and Wellness and Health World. Lesbian, lgbtq+, bisexual and transident projects, associations and organizations brief at booths about the different topics.
In addition, there is a colorful program at the Motzstraßenfest: national and international bands act on a total of six main stages, and there are shows and talks.
The event starts on both days in each case at 11 oclock and goes into the late evening hours. The entrance is free as always.
Join in the queer scene celebrations
Every year in July, the pulse of the queer scene beats faster in Berlin. A underline of Berlin's event calendar are the Pride Weeks, during which the capital celebrates respect and tolerance with the Lesbian and Gay Street Festival andChristopher Street Day (Berlin Pride.
The German capital is traditionally also the capital of the rainbow: for a long time, one of the largest European communities of lesbian, gay, attracted to both genders, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) people has been an integral part of Berlin life, and the urban area has become one of the most popular same-sex attracted travel destinations. A variety of bars and clubs with a diverse range of events are just as inviting as the exhibitions, guided tours and workshops of the Gay Museum.
The epicentre of the LGBTI scene is the streets around Nollendorfplatz in Schöneberg, but the variety of offers and events is spread across the entire city and all districts.
