Kamloops Movement takes place from the 9th to 15th JuneOur mission is to promote a more flourishing 2SLGBTQPIA+ community and customs in Kamloops. Regardless of how you identify on the gender identity or sexuality spectrum - we welcome you. We are here to serve the diverse community within Kamloops and strive to advocate on behalf of people who experience discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity/expression. Through our work, we hope to promote equity for all.

Parade
Marching Starts. Downtown Kamloops (Victoria St from 2nd Ave to 6th Ave). Join us for the Kamloops Celebration Parade on Sunday in Downtown Kamloops. The procession starts at Seymour and 2nd Avenue, travels to Victoria St, and then travels down Victoria St to th Ave. The parade will disperse between 5th-6th Avenue.
Festival
Riverside Park @ Where: Riverside Park by the bandshell ( Lorne St). Free event. Appear out and celebrate Kamloops Pride with our collection of local artisans, organisations, businesses, and performers. PRIDE week kicks off in Kamloops; parade scheduled for Sunday
“It is definitely becoming increasingly tough to reside as a queer person, and especially for our trans community members. But part of Kamloops PRIDE’s job is to foster that joy and happiness and bring the whole community together to rejoice queerness, to celebrate PRIDE,” reiterates Christianson. “Looking around at this event right now, it’s only been about a half-hour into the event and I already see a ton of people here so I’m very excited.”
This is the first moment Kamloops has done Lgbtq+ fest week in June, moving from its previous week in August. And organizers say the festivities own grown every year in both scale and help.
“Ten years ago, Kamloops PRIDE was the only organization putting on lgbtq+ events, putting on anything PRIDE related, and now we have over double the amount of group events as we execute official PRIDE events. That just makes me really happy that the society really embracing PRIDE and really wants to function with us.”
PRIDE Week will cap off with the annual PRIDE celebration in downtown Kamloops Sunday morning (June 15) starting at a.m., followed by the wrap-up festival in Riverside Park.

Come together with Kamloops Celebration, the 2SLGBTQPIA+ community, organizations, and allies as you march proudly through the heart of Kamloops!
The celebration kicks off at 11 AM on the corner of 2nd Ave and Seymour Street, turning onto Victoria Street and heading East, concluding at 5th Avenue. Let’s unite for a day filled with inclusivity, diversity, and PRIDE!
Important Reminders:
Please respect our municipality by keeping the direction clean. Remove any garbage or recycling created by your group.
As per Municipality of Kamloops regulations, please refrain from using confetti, glitter, chalk, paint, spray paint, or any other substances that might tag city or private property.
Items may be handed out by walkers but cannot be thrown from vehicles or floats.
Be mindful of prohibited items and actions: no alcohol, drugs, fireworks, open fires, or pyrotechnics. No handing out diet or drinks, collecting donations, or public nudity (Criminal Code section ).
While political campaigning is not supported, passive display of signage and logos is permitted.
