Summer of Pride
Join us for the Greenville-Pitt County Summer of Pride! Celebrating society, diversity, and love, this action-packed summer has something for everyone.
The Summer of Pride event series was created by our local LBGTQ+ leaders and allies, with the support of NAMI Pitt County, with the goal of curating a centralized calendar of Pride events happening from June through August 2024. Each event seeks to create a safe vacuum for everyone to appear together to show their support for the Homosexual community. Whether you are a visitor or a Pitt County native, be sure to mark your calendar with your favorite event opportunities!
While you are out and about in Downtown Greenville for the Summer of Pride, end by some of our favorite queer-friendly businesses! Take some breakfast at the Scullery, a coffee off of the Pride Menu at Backstage Coffee, a brew at Pitt Street Brewing, or some holistic dwelling goods at Sojourner Whole Earth Provisions!
*Summer 2024 will serve as a pilot program, with the series being managed primarily by volunteers, so we may not be able to accommodate every request for an event to be included on the calendar but encourage you to reach

Lulz. There are some gay people anywhere - however it sounds like the OP should keep reading up on Rocky Mount. It's widely regarded by locals here in the way people discuss Baltimore MD, or Akron OH. It gets no repect. |

Over a dozen individuals from the Greenville GLBT and Allies community gathered in 2012 with the idea of restarting a Greenville GLBT Pride Festival. While the organization and hopes for a 2014 festival fizzled, a website had been established, and will be maintained as a resource to aid network the community in hopes that eventually we may be able to revive the effort. During the mid 1990's a huge growth in movement in Greenville had led to the creation of the Down East Identity festival Festival, held from 1996 to 1998. A 1999 festival was planned, but cancelled due to the landfall and subsequent flooding of Hurricane Floyd. Organizers had already planned for that to be the final festival because the organizing group had dwindled in membership to a level that was becoming unsustainable. A similar swell in organization had occurred surrounding the 2012 endeavor to defeat NC's anti-marriage Amendment 1. While much energy was expended in the efforts it continued on afterwards with several new organizations, including OutGreenville forming, but the interest declined more quickly, principal to groups going defunct. Our hope is that this website resource will help spur more participation in r HomeAbout Regular Community Community OUTGreenville | LGBTQ and Supportive Organizations and Resources in the Greenville area.
